Fellowship Application Procedures

Please include your full name, current address and phone number when e-mailing or calling for application materials. Please print and mail an application.

We encourage you to fill out the application and return it to us as soon as possible. We begin reviewing our applications starting around September the year prior. Because the fellowship is not a part of the NRMP, we will offer positions to the best candidates on a “first-come-first serve” basis.

Applicants are only considered for interviews after all of the requested materials have been received (including a completed application, CV, and letters of recommendation) and reviewed by our selection committee.

Selection Criteria

  1. All applicants must be graduates of an accredited family medicine residency program by the time the fellowship year begins.

  2. All applicants must be board certified/elligible in family medicine.

  3. All applicants must have demonstrated interest in rural practice.

Our goal is to have the positions for our August class filled by January. All applicants will be notified by mail or by telephone of their status.
